In 1992, Nube Sandoval and Bernardo Rey created the Centro de Investigaciones Teatrales - Cenit in Bogotá, formally constituted in 1994, as a space for the study and experimentation of the principles that govern the work of actors and actresses, the dialogue between the visual and performing arts, the experimentation around their own dramaturgies, the elaboration and use of the mask in contemporary theater and the creation of unconventional scenography and theatrical spaces. With their artistic productions and pedagogical proposals, they have been invited to various universities, art institutions and festivals in South America, North America, Europe and Africa.
At the same time, they developed a research on the social commitment of theater, capable of activating resilience processes in vulnerable contexts. This view consolidated the basis of the proposal, which they called Theater as Bridge, and which has been implemented in the artistic projects directed by Cenit in the last 25 years.
For this work, Teatro Cenit has won the "Catarsi: Teatri delle Diversità" awards from the National Association of Theater Critics of Italy; the "Ellen Stewart International Award" in New York and first place at the VI International Biennial of Thearer and Psychiatry in Italy.
Nube Sandoval and Bernardo Rey co-create and co-direct Develaciones Un Canto a los 4 Vientos, a work of the Cultural Legacy of the Truth Commission. A staging with more than 100 artists and community members from different regions of Colombia.
